 | Our Story - In 1959 (while still Manager of the Salem Meier & Frank store) Gerry Frank was asked to judge the chocolate cake baking competition at the Oregon State Fair by Govenor Mark Hatfield. It was a smashing success and Gerry's cake judging became an annual affair. Over the years he has tasted more than 1,500 cakes and is recognized as an expert. Over two decades, he formed a partnership with Barney Rogers, to create The Konditorei. Objective of the partners is a truly fine cake shop in the Viennese style at prices that will tempt all cake lovers. Every recipe has been personally tasted by a panel of tasting experts. The final result is an array of fine cakes never before seen in the Northwest. They are yours to see, to taste and to buy at The Konditorei. |
